Hunger Forum has great attendance and media coverage

Last Wednesday, four local United Ways in the central Iowa region partnered with the Iowa Food Bank Association, Food Bank of Iowa and Des Moines Area Religious Council on a forum about Hunger in Central Iowa. This forum was part of a series held across the state, with forums held in Sioux City and Cedar Rapids in 2011.

Jean Kresse, President and CEO at United Way of Story County represented United Way, highlighting the impact of hunger on Education, Income and Health. The forum brought together policymakers, business and community leaders to discuss the important issue.
