Iowa Reading Corps AmeriCorps Member Recruitment
Recruitment efforts will be targeted in communities where we have selected sites for 2022-23. In addition to statewide recruitment efforts led by United Ways of Iowa, local recruitment is required for program participation and often results in securing the strongest applicants for the position. Please direct prospective members to Crystal Meier, cmeier@uwiservice.org, for more information regarding serving in Iowa Reading Corps AmeriCorps Program.
Securing Match Funding
Each Reading Corps school needs to secure matching funds to support their AmeriCorps member. United Ways of Iowa is open to considering matching funds from more than one source, including the Early Literacy Initiative, but those funds will need to be guaranteed prior to selection as a site.
Schools interested in being involved with Iowa Reading Corps can contact Crystal Meier, Director of National Service Programs for more information.
